R&B and Hip Hop artist Shorty Corleone has been widely recognized for his flare for creative production, his distinctive singing voice, and wide range of explosive performances and recordings.

Born and raised in Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Corleone has been entertaining since the tender age of nine.

Influenced by a religious upbringing, the soulful sounds of Motown, and the ever unique sensations of Go-Go music, Corleone is determined to represent Choclate City's music and artists. His voice-trained from the age of 18 by the renowned William Beale-has been measured to the likes of musical greats Maurice White, Teddy Pendergrass, and Johnny Gill. Currently, he is the front line singer for D.C.'s premier Rare Essence Band.

As well, Corleone writes and produces many of the band's hits and has rendered his talents to the Pep Boys, Lorenzo Queen, Nu Grove and Verdine Wite of Earth, Wind, & Fire. With the goals of entrpreneurship, Corleone formed a record and production company, Innovative Recordings, Inc. in 1997 releasing hes debut solo album, "The Heat". Corleone delivers a novel blend hip hop, go-go and R&B music

With the likes of musical greats Geral Levert, R. Kelly, and Jonny Gill, Corleone stands as a singer extraordinary. Enteraining since age 12, Corleone has marveled many with his soulful vocals. Corleone has performed and written material for the Pep Boys, Lorenza Queen Band, and Nu Guru. Along with these collabrations, Corleone has also recorded with Verdine Wite of Earth, Wind & Fire. From 1995 through 1998, Corleone was the singer for Washington, DC's premiere show stopping go-go band , Rare Essence. Along with several other business associates, Corleone farmed the record label and production company, Innovative Recordings, Inc.









-Records with Verdine White of Earth, Wind & Fire.

-Vocal training under William Beale (trainer for Brenda K Star, Stacey Lattisay, Johnny Gill).

-Beale and Corleone records "Out of No Where" and reaches number one single on Caribbean charts.

-Joins Rare Essence band as lead singer.

-Establishes Innovative Recordings, INC., along with associates.

-Innovative Recordings releases Corleone debut single "Somebody's Been Sleepin With You"

-Co-writes and performs his single "Body Snatchers" with Rare Essence band that charts #50 on the top 100 singles on Billboard Magazine chart.

-Innovative Recordings releases Corleone solo album "The Heat".
